Terms of service

Last updated 2026-08-18

These terms say what we sell, how booking and paying work, and what happens when something is cancelled. Written in plain language rather than legalese.

Who we are

Proballers Coaching, Koirasaarentie 37 A, 00590 Helsinki. Contact us at proballerscoaching@gmail.com.

We sell the coaching ourselves and invoice you directly. Coaches work with us under their own arrangement and do not invoice you separately — the agreement for a session is between you and Proballers Coaching.

We fall under the small-business exemption in section 3 of the Finnish VAT Act, so prices carry no VAT.

What we sell and what it costs

Prices can change, but a session costs what it said when you booked it. A change never affects a package you have already bought.

Accounts and under-18s

You can open an account from the age of 13. You are responsible for the details you give being correct, and for keeping your password to yourself.

If the player is under 18: a parent or guardian must approve the booking, and the guardian is the one who owes the invoice. By booking for a player under 18 you confirm that you are their guardian or have the guardian’s permission. A minor is not bound to pay by their own actions.

How a booking is made

A 1-on-1 session is booked at least 24 hours ahead, so the coach has time to plan it and book a pitch. The booking is live as soon as it appears in My bookings — nothing further needs confirming, and the coach is told straight away.

A group session can be started on a coach's free hour from 2 days ahead, so other players have time to join. You can join an existing group right up until it starts. A group session goes ahead even if only one player joins.

Paying

We take payment by MobilePay, or by bank transfer — the account number is on the invoice. You do not pay at booking: you get an invoice by email and pay it within 7 days. Use the invoice number as the message so we can match the payment to it.

A 1-on-1 booking is never cancelled for non-payment — the session stays in the calendar and the invoice stays open. If an invoice goes unpaid we remind you and sort it out with you directly; we do not use a debt-collection agency. We may ask you to settle what is outstanding before making further bookings.

The same goes for a group spot and a prepaid package: they are due 72 hours after booking, but the spot is not released automatically if payment is late. It stays yours until you pay for it or we remove you from the group. Group places are limited, so paying on time keeps a seat from being held away from another player.

Moving or cancelling a session

Tell us at least 48 hours before the session and we will move it or credit it in full. Message the coach in the chat or email proballerscoaching@gmail.com — there is no cancel button on the site; we do the cancelling for you.

A cancellation after that, or simply not turning up, means the session counts as delivered: it is invoiced as normal or deducted from your package. By then the coach is on their way and the pitch is booked.

If you or your child falls ill at short notice, tell us anyway — we are not rigid about it and we deal with these case by case.

When we cancel

If a coach or we cancel a session, you pay nothing for it. If you had already paid, you get one free session to use on any booking you like. If you would rather have the money back, say so and we will return it.

Football is an outdoor sport and sessions go ahead in rain, in the dark and in the cold. We cancel only when conditions are genuinely unsafe — thunder, storm or an icy pitch.

We do not swap your coach without asking. If the coach you booked cannot make it we ask whether another coach is alright with you, and if not, the session is cancelled and handled as above.

Package refunds

You can ask for the money back on unused package sessions at any time — package sessions never expire and you do not have to decide up front.

We work the refund out like this: the sessions you have already had are charged at the normal single-session price of 40 €, and the rest of what you paid comes back. The package discount applies to the sessions you actually use.

For example: you buy the 3-session package (114 €) and use one. That session is charged at 40 €, so you get 74 € back.

If you have used the whole package there is nothing left to refund. We never invoice you for the difference afterwards, even where the full-price total comes to more than the package cost — the most you lose is the discount.

Free sessions and discount codes

A free session is compensation for a paid session that was cancelled. It shows in My bookings and is used automatically on your next booking. It cannot be exchanged for money or given to someone else. If a booking made with it is cancelled, the free session comes back to you.

A discount code may have an expiry date and a limit on how many times it can be used. A code affects only the booking it was entered on.

Safety, health and insurance

Coaching is physical training and carries the ordinary risk of sports injury. Taking part is at your own risk in that respect.

Every player must have their own insurance covering sports injuries. This is the normal requirement in Finnish youth football. We do not insure players.

Use the “wishes for the coach” field on the booking, or tell the coach directly, about injuries, conditions or anything else that affects training. A coach cannot take account of something they do not know about.

We do not limit our liability where harm is caused by our own negligence — against a consumer such a term would be void in any case.

Photos and video

A coach may film parts of a session so the player can go through them afterwards. Material like that is used only for coaching and is not published.

Using a photo or video for marketing — on social media or on this site — always needs separate permission. We ask for it in person at the session: from the player, and from a guardian where the player is under 18, and nothing is used before permission is given. Accepting these terms is not permission, and we do not ask for it during booking. You can withdraw permission at any time, including afterwards, and we will then remove the material from the channels we control.

Conduct and ending the service

We expect decent behaviour towards coaches and other players, on the pitch and in the chat. The chat is for arranging sessions.

We can decline or stop coaching someone whose behaviour is threatening or abusive, or where a player puts others at risk. If that happens we refund any sessions you have paid for and not had, in money.

You can delete your account yourself from My bookings whenever you like. Any upcoming sessions need cancelling first.

Reviews

You can leave a review after a session. It appears publicly on the coach’s page. We remove a review that is abusive or that is not about coaching you actually received.

The site

We do our best to keep the site working, but we do not promise it is available without interruption. The content, images and branding on it belong to us or to our coaches.

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms were last updated on 2026-08-18. If we change them substantially we will say so on the site or by email. Your booking is governed by the terms that applied when you made it.

Law and disputes

Finnish law applies. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

If something goes wrong, contact us first — most things are settled that way. If it is not, you can take it to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Free advice is available from Consumer Advisory Services (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). A dispute can also be heard by the district court where you live.
